Strange New World

This piece, for string orchestra, timpani and harp, is split into three sections, each representing a different scenario that all flow into each other. The first, is where the hero protagonist is confronted by his enemies in a potentially volatile situation. During his escape, into the second section, he finds himself in a strange and unknown place. At this point, the music reflects the inner thoughts of the protagonist, namely his state of denial and bewilderment. The final section represents the exploration of this strange new world the hero has inadvertently discovered.
